Regional Owners - Joanne and Bruce Caruth

When Joanne and Bruce Caruth decided to get involved in EXIT Realty in 2003, the company only had a few thousand real estate agents and less than half of the regional rights had been sold. "Some people may have taken a more cautious approach but we knew EXIT Realty's business model was the best in the country both for the agent and the franchisee. Accordingly, we decided to buy not just one region but four; Kansas, Missouri, Oregon and Washington."

Certainly, with over 50,000 associates recruited into the EXIT Realty system their hunch was right. But was it a hunch? Bruce spent most of his career as a business consultant with Price Waterhouse, an international accounting and consulting firm. He worked with over a hundred different companies in almost every industry helping them improve sales, reduce expenses and increase profits. "Based on the experience I gained during my business consulting career I knew immediately that EXIT Realty would not only prosper but would some day dominate the real estate industry."

Joanne split her time raising two children as well as working in the travel and cruise sales industry. In addition, for the past ten years she helped raise approximately $1,000,000 annually for a children's charity in Tucson, AZ. "This past fall, our youngest child was off to college, so I was up for a new challenge. I felt the time was right for me to switch gears and commit full time to helping Bruce grow our EXIT regions".

Bruce and Joanne want to make a difference with their EXIT Realty business. "We want to provide real estate agents with the ability to develop a consistent stream of income they can rely on, even if they are sick or on vacation. We want to give them the ability to send their kids to the best colleges and provide for them like they always dreamed. We want to give them the ability to retire someday with a lifestyle they deserve. We want to have a positive impact on as many lives as we can. That is what ultimately drives us."
